Description
Embark on a journey to the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve, a protected sanctuary since 1996, renowned for its vital role as a nesting site for both hawksbill and green turtles. This pristine reserve is also a haven for a variety of migratory birds, including the increasingly rare sooty falcon, one of the few migratory raptors that both nests and breeds in this region. Due to the islands’ protected status, access is limited, with landing prohibited from May through October to preserve the delicate ecosystem. Often referred to as the 'Jewel of the Middle East,' the Daymaniyat Islands boast some of the finest dive sites in the region, catering to divers of all skill levels, from beginners to experts. Snorkelers are also in for a treat, with visits to two distinct snorkeling sites.
