Day1 - Muscat - Visit Nizwa fort & Souq - Drive to Wahiba Sands - Sunset from dunes & Dune bashing - Overnight in Desert camp Itinerary: After an early rise breakfast in the morning we will visit spectacular Nizwa Fort with its massive Circular Cannon Tower, one of the most impressive forts in Oman. The fort is a museum today and offers splendid views of this ancient town and the surrounding mountains. You can walk around in this impressive fortress and visit its many rooms, passages and towers. Later visit the Nizwa traditional Souq. The Souq is a lively place and an ideal location to purchase handicrafts and souvenirs. A wide variety of vendors offer their goods in the streets of the souk from 05:00 am to about 10:00 am each morning. Post that we will start your journey to Wahiba Sands. In the heart of the golden sands of Sharqiyah Desert nestled among stunning and ever-changing patterns of sand dunes, is the Desert Camp. Here you will find a luxurious chalet. After settling into the camp, you will be offered the amazing experience of dune bashing, with a spectacular view of the sunset. Followed by delicious Arabic Cuisine along with live entertainment whilst you sit under a starry sky around a Camp Fire this truly is a once in a lifetime experience. Overnight at Arabian Oryx Camp OR Similar camp. Day 2: Visit Bedouin house - Visit Wadi Bani Khalid (Walking & Swimming Sight) – Back to Muscat Itinerary: After an early breakfast at the desert camp, you will depart on an exciting 4wd journey through the desert and visit the local Bedouin house and have Omani Coffee. You will enjoy their traditional ways of hospitality. Our next stop will be Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that hold water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oasis where it sustains the typical date palms. The pretty villages of Wadi Bani Khalid cling precariously to the rugged mountainside. After a buffet lunch at Wadi Bani Khalid, you will continue to travel back towards Muscat. You will make a further stop at Al Mudayrib and Ibra to view the watch towers which proudly overlook the villages. Post visiting old village you will travel back to Muscat.
